THE IMPACT OF ARMED VIOLENCE ON THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE: THE UKRAINIAN ISSUE

Abstract

In the article, using the example of armed conflicts and revolutions that have taken place in Ukraine, an attempt has been made to define the impact of armed violence on the modern national and global political landscape, which is viewed as a complex territorial-natural-political system that links territory, nature, values, spiritual organization, and political processes. It has been demonstrated that armed violence (regardless of the form) leads to changes in socio-political processes, ideological and spiritual values, and is an important factor in formation and/or changing the political landscape. Using examples such as the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 and the Russian-Ukrainian War, an assessment is provided of their consequences for the political landscape of Ukraine. It has been determined that the nature of such influence, depending on the context and circumstances, can have both negative and positive qualities. A comparative analysis of the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war as a form of armed violence on regional (European) and global (geopolitical) landscapes has been conducted. It has been proven that armed violence is not only a component of the political space and political processes but also capable of forming a new global reality alongside geopolitical, military, economic, energy, food, diplomatic, international security, legal, environmental, humanitarian, and other consequences. It is noted the importance of forming a new type of civilization – a civilization of overcoming war as a means of resolving conflicts between nations, states, countries, and alliances, developing diplomacy, peaceful methods of conflict resolution, and cooperation among countries to ensure stability and peace in the world. Also highlighted is the importance of forming international political decisions that would further define the future world order.
