FOREIGN PRACTICE OF USING COACHING IN THE ACTIVITIES OF POLICE WORKERS
Abstract
Statement of the problem and explanation of relevance. Modern research in the field of increasing competence and professional training of police workers confirms the need to use new technologies and tools that would meet modern challenges and changes in society. The high level of complexity and responsibility in the professional activities of employees of the National Police of Ukraine requires highly qualified workers. The higher and better their qualification will be, the more effective the results of police work will be. The problem is that today in Ukraine we don’t have the necessary attention to the professional training of workers of the National Police in the field of developing their mental stability with the help of coaching tools. There is no culture of creating a supportive and encouraging environment in which a police worker could stimulate his mental processes for finding new methods of cooperation with citizens and society as a whole. The purpose of the research is the analysis of leading European practices, carried out on specific examples, with the aim of their further implementation in the professional activities of the employees of the National Police of Ukraine. The methodology is determined by the statement about a highly effective personality, who is in the process of constant development. The article provides statistics that show the importance of communication for police workers. The method of comparative analysis, the sociological method, the method of induction and deduction was used in the research process. The results of the research demonstrate the need to apply coaching in the activities of the National Police of Ukraine, which will contribute to the effective performance of the tasks in the field of protection the rights of citizens, providing law and order, and crime prevention.
