METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF OUTREACH ACTIVITIES OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS IN VOLYN IN 1920–1930

Abstract

The work analyzes the methodical provision of educational and educational activities in Volyn in 1920-1930, because under the influence of the national and cultural revival, the strategic goal of the activities of cultural and educational organizations changes. The efforts of progressive Ukrainianism were aimed at the formation of a nationally conscious citizen capable of gaining an independent state and preserving it. At the same time, the content, methods and forms of activity were constantly improved in accordance with the general educational goal. Volyn societies in the interwar period realized that time and circumstances demanded changes, the emergence of an intellectually rich person who could subordinate his feelings to reason, therefore the main goal in social and pedagogical practice became the education of characters. The purpose of the article is to highlight the methods of public activity and methodical support, which were aimed at national education. A personality formed by the efforts of public associations had to harmoniously combine social and personal interests, and if necessary, it had to consciously subordinate personal interests to public ones. Self-education was defined as the leading means of raising such a person. The methodological basis is a comparative-historical approach, which involves a set of cognitive tools and procedures that allow us to identify similarities and differences between the phenomena being studied. The scientific novelty consists in a comprehensive analysis of the socio-pedagogical environment in Volyn from the point of view of the formation of a national-patriotic personality in the conditions of occupation.
