Description of the coat of arms of Zhidychyn UTG (Volyn region)

Abstract

The law "On local self-government in Ukraine" should be used in the issue of OTG heraldry. The law defines the concept of territorial community: "territorial community - residents united by permanent residence within a village, town, city, which are independent administrative-territorial units, or voluntary association of residents of several villages with a single administrative center" , the symbols of the coat of arms should reflect one or more features of the settlement (for example, its name, reasons for development, specific local representatives of fauna, etc. This law applies to all territorial communities of Ukraine, including united. The project of the coat of arms and flag of Zhydychyn OTG of Volyn region is presented. Descriptions of symbols and images of the coat of arms are given. It is indicated that it is desirable to use the colors of the coat of arms or its individual elements in the flag. It was according to these criteria that the flag of the Zhydychyn community was developed. Such use will make it possible to organically combine these two symbols of administrative-territorial power in practical use. Additionally, the flag is supplemented by a white stripe, which means the river. In accordance with modern requirements and traditions of vexillology, the flag of a settlement or community has a similar (mirror) image on both sides of the flag sheet.
